Business Continuity > Welcome to Plan for Disasters Business Continuity Blog

To our readers and bloggers!

We welcome you to the Plan for Disasters BCP Blog. Our goal with this blog is to engage a lively discussion on issues pertinent to effective business resiliency. We shall explore topics that include tools and techniques for emergency preparedness, business continuity, and disaster recovery, and explore both the risk environment and cutting edge strategies to mitigate adverse outcomes.

In the coming weeks and months, I will post both original content and articles written by my peers to engage a wide range of perspectives. I urge you to comment and to raise any points that could help further the discussion and help us all become better prepared.

Best regards,

Gaston Boisson, CBCP, MBCI

Re: Welcome to Plan for Disasters Business Continuity Blog

Greetings to All!

I wanted to send a special thank you to Gaston Boisson for helping us launch the Business Continuity Blog on our portal. To encourage everyone with continuity related questions I wanted to pose a few to start the conversation. Gaston, given the economic difficulties around the world, what particularly resourceful and advantageous public private partnerships have you witnessed and/or facilitated to build business continuity plans? Other questions I wanted to ask are: 1) Do your clients differentiate between supply chain and value chain resilience in support of the overall survival of the company?; and 2) What are some examples of significant and effective community outreach and integration (both government/local or regional authorities and residents)?

We look forward to comments and questions from the region as well!

Best regards,

Christine Herridge Director, Disaster Management Alliance
